Department of Automatic Control and Robotics, Silesian University of Technology

Artur Babiarz received the MSc. degree in automatic control from Silesian University of
Technology, Gliwice, Poland, in 2002. In 2006, he received the Ph.D. degree in automatic control, a
specialization in robotics. He earned his habilitation degree in the field of technical sciences, in
the discipline of automation and robotics, in 2016. On December 21, 2022, the President of Poland
awarded him the title of professor. From January 1, 2023, he is a full professor at the Department
of Automatic Control and Robotics at the Silesian University of Technology, where he serves as
deputy head of the department. His research interests include robot trajectory planning,
autonomous object control systems, mathematical modeling of dynamic systems, the use of deep
learning methods in robot motion planning, and the study of the dynamic properties of dynamic
systems
