Karol Paciorek

Karol Paciorek is the Head of CSIRT KNF, which serves as the sectoral CSIRT for the financial market within the Polish Financial Supervision Authority. He is responsible for coordinating cybersecurity activities for the financial sector and oversees areas related to threat monitoring, incident handling, and the development of protection mechanisms for institutions supervised by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority.

In his work, he focuses on developing CSIRT KNF’s capabilities as the sectoral CSIRT for the financial market. This includes strengthening the sector’s digital resilience, improving cooperation with supervised institutions, enabling effective threat information sharing, and supporting financial entities in the identification, reporting, and handling of ICT incidents, including in the context of requirements arising from the DORA regulation.

He combines operational, regulatory, and strategic perspectives, supporting the development of a secure and resilient financial ecosystem in Poland, as well as cross-sector cooperation at both national and international levels.
