A worst-case scenario in cyberspace. Will the cloud save us?

If a “worst-case scenario” were to unfold—whether as a result of a hostile cyber operation or a conventional attack targeting IT infrastructure and data centers—traditional operating models may prove insufficient. In such situations, cloud computing is increasingly being cited as a key element in ensuring the business continuity of organizations and institutions. But can it be considered a reliable refuge during a crisis or cyberwar? During the debate, we will analyze the resilience of cloud environments, taking into account threats related to attacks on the service providers themselves. We will also discuss how to design “digital evacuation” strategies while maintaining security, business continuity, and data sovereignty.
