CISO 2026: Criminal Liability, Budgets, and Crisis Management

Room 4 / 16:15 - 17:15 / 08 October 2026 (Day 2)

The role of the CISO has evolved from a purely technical function into a position of strategic importance for the entire organization. With the implementation of new national and EU regulations, those responsible for cybersecurity today face growing accountability for protecting data and infrastructure. During the panel discussion, we will contrast these requirements with everyday challenges: limited budgets, business pressure, and the need to manage increasingly complex incidents and crises. We will address the question of how, in 2026, to effectively manage risk, discuss cybersecurity funding with executive boards, and establish procedures that will protect the organization from paralysis and enable it to respond effectively to threats.
